Video Agent API - Re-submit a video request

Is there a way to re-submit a video request if the video fails with a final status of error? About 1 in 10 of my requests fail this way and if I go to the Front End and re-submit, they generate fine. I would really like to be able to re-submit the same video ID automatically when this happens. Currently, if I re-submit the video and it completes (every time so far), the ID is still retained for the API which allows me to pull it down correctly.
