Hello HeyGen Support Team,

I’m experiencing an issue when generating videos via the HeyGen API.

When I create videos directly from the HeyGen platform (using the same avatar and similar settings), the framing looks correct. However, when I generate videos through the API, the resulting videos appear slightly zoomed in. It’s subtle, but noticeable — the avatar looks closer to the camera compared to videos generated directly in the platform.

I’m using a vertical format (1080x1920), and the avatar style is set to “normal”. From my side, I’m not intentionally applying any zoom, crop, or scaling.

Could you please help me understand:

• Whether the API applies any default zoom, crop, or framing behavior
• If there is any parameter that controls camera distance, framing, or scaling
• Or if this is a known issue or expected behavior when using the API versus the platform UI
